In 1994 a German couple fell in love with this spot, the peace and the views came upon them. They renovated thé house that after long years of vacancy was in decay. They connected water & electricity and restored the farm in a house for permanent residence and an artist studio & guest accomodation on the ground floor. End of 2010 we fell for this spot and reorganised the house to a luxury holiday home, the studio became a family kitchen with direct access to the terrace and garden. Walls were demolished to create more openness and a pergola was added to create a shadow zone. The portico was rebuild to a real covered terrace. All technical installations were redone to create a maximum comfort. And of course a pool was added.
The owners of this house Sigrid Custers & Barent Bulcke run an architects office in Antwerp BBSC-Architects. Their vision on living and holiday en their everlasting looking for design destinations inspired them to transform these premises into a place of peace and aesthetics where modernism meets rural architecture.
